Academic Calendar

The academic year at the University of Würzburg is divided into two semesters (winter semester and summer semester):

• Winter Semester: October 1^st -  March 31^st
• Summer Semester: April 1^st -  September 30^th

Lecture Period:

In winter semester, lectures run from mid-October to mid-February.

In summer semester, lectures run from mid-April to mid-July.

Assessment Period:

Examinations take place during and/or at the end of the lecture time. The exams in Bachelor and Master take place in a two to three week period after the lecture time.
