German Council of Economic Experts
In the period from 2004 to 2019, Prof. Dr. Bofinger was one of five members of the German Council of Economic Experts to advise the German government on economic issues. The Council submits an annual report to the Federal Government in which it describes economic developments and examines current economic policy issues. In addition, the Council of Economic Experts prepares special reports and expert opinions on selected topics.
