Office of the Dean

The office of the dean is the central administrative unit of the Faculty of Management and Economics and liaises with all other university institutions. The primary commitment of the office of the dean is to provide leadership to the faculty and steer the strategic direction of its research and teaching activities. The office of the dean is responsible for managing the budget, supervising doctoral procedures as well as preparing and following up meetings of faculty committees.The office of the dean consists of the dean, three vice deans and the managing director. The team is assisted by a secretary.

The dean, the head of the faculty, is elected for a two-year term by the faculty board. In accordance with the provisions of the Bayerisches Hochschulgesetz (Bavarian Higher Education Act, BayHSchG), the dean manages all human resources and financial matters of the faculty and signs doctoral and habilitation diplomas. Three vice deans assist and deputise the dean of our faculty.
